The Boys and Jupiter, Bangkok

I’m back! Yes after a long long absent I’m back. In this few months many things happened and I have neglected this site. I won’t go into the details but what I can add on is my visit to Bangkok in August to help out in a charity. My first night I met up with Chris at Silom for a night out to our old joints. It was definitely good to meet up with long lost mamasans. All of them remember the both of us. It has been a good 2 and half years since I was in any of the gay bars. One of the old mamasan has even turned into a woman! He was a handsome man when I first met him. I didn’t have the heart to tell him he looked better as a man than a woman. Of course Chris got hold of my old favourite guy who was patiently waiting for me at The Boys.

The Boys is something new to me. Located under Dream Boy it has a large stage and they share the same dancers with Dream Boy. I was having a nice time talking and catching up when a mamasan from Jupiter came over. He pestered Chris to go over to Jupiter and he agreed so we left shortly after. I was so happy meeting up with old friends I didn’t check out the guys at The Boys!

At Jupiter I felt so cheated. I didn’t like the mamasan there as I felt he was too pushy. First for pestering us to go over when it was near closing time when there are no more shows. Second, he kept asking us to buy drinks for guys that he kept pulling to our table. Thirdly for asking me to take a friend of my favourite out for dinner! This means having to fork out the bar fine and giving him some money for the company. I was told that the guys at Jupiter are better as they are the best but which bar won’t claimed they are the best. I saw a few familiar faces too, guys that used to work at Dream Boy.

I left and ended up eating at a Cafe at Silom with my favourite and his friend. Chris left me the minute he got 2 guys! Here’s a photo of me and the boys taken outside Jupiter.

Taboo, Singapore

Sorry it’s been a while since I last update this site. I’ve been away on a business trip and spending weekends having outings with colleagues. Last Saturday I went out with Chris and 2 other female colleagues to Taboo probably the most well known gay club in Singapore at Neil Rd. I’ve always enjoy Taboo as it’s my cup of tea. Good music, crowds, shows and I love the fact that there’s so many good looking guys… yeah I know they are not interested in me. When the crowd started dancing I was picked up rather fast by this guy who kept hugging me and carrying me while dancing. I was so uncomfortable as I could not dance well with him hugging me. I thought he was bi but he didnt once got hard and was pinching Chris’ nipples while hugging me so I knew I was safe. In time, I saw more guys openly kissing their partner and a group of guys on the dance floor who started taking off their shirts due to the heat. Great bods!

I didn’t stay long to continue dancing with ‘china guy’ as my husband was waiting for me at home. In fact my housemate Karen just left with Chris to Taboo about an hour ago. I didn’t join them as it’s hubby’s birthday today so I thought I should spend some time with him. I hope they will enjoy tonight.

 

Another gay movie

A few weeks ago my housemate Karen and I watched ‘Another Gay Movie’. She got the dvd from neighboring Malaysia when we were there last month. The movie is about 4 gay high school friends who make a pact to lose their anal virginity upon graduation and before going to college. It stars Michael Carbonaro, Jonah Blechman, Jonathan Chase and Mitch Morris. Are they gay in real life?

It is funny, sick, twisted a la american pie style. A few full frontal views as well especially the shower scene and a full frontal of Richard Hatch. Richard Hatch is one of the reality show Survivor winner. Karen said she didn’t expect Richard one’s to be ‘small’…. Judge for yourself if you can get a copy or download it.

On the other hand… a diversion from this.. Larry and me are back together again. We may not get to see each other as often as we used to so I will have to live with this arrangement.

Gay or not gay or closet gay

Yesterday Daniel my former housemate who is now working in Germany drop by Singapore for a short visit on his way back to Philipines for his annual holidays. He stayed with us as we have a spare room. Everything for him is still very familiar as we kept his old bed and cupboard though we moved after he left for Germany.

I swear that everyone who has seen Daniel insists that he is gay. So much so I started asking my gay friends such as Chris and Uncle if their gaydar tells them that he is one of them. Uncle gave a non-commital answer but Daniel really got on well with Uncle and his partner, Jimmy. All my 8 years of knowing Daniel he had no girlfriends or boyfriends. Karen and I suspects that he is a closet gay, maybe suppressing his feelings as Daniel is a deeply religious Catholic. I for one believed that he is not gay as he just didn’t lead the normal gay lifestyle but at times I do have my doubts. He’s still a virgin by the way.

A few clues that we got that he may be a closet gay is when Karen’s former housemate told Karen that he accidentally read Daniel emails to his girlfriend which had some inclination that he has feelings for men. Another is when he confessed to Karen that he stared at a former colleague the whole night while they shared a room in Bali.

When Daniel broke the news to us that he’s considering taking up a position in Germany, we were hoping that he will come out of his closet in Germany where people are more tolerant to gays. Our thoughts were that by being in a foreign country where no ones knows him, he is free to reveal his true self. It has been 10 months since he’s been there and I doubt very much that he has come out! But seeing him again yesterday make me realised that I missed him very much. I missed the times where we would just share a whole chunk of pork knuckles for dinner, watch horror movie and scream together. It was just good to see him again.

Lesbian Bar, Singapore

Friday night I was at Blackberry Bar at 44 Tras St with my colleagues. All this while I only have gay guy friends but never girls. I did know a lesbian couple back then as a student in the States but upon returning to Malaysia, they both turned straight.

Next to our table there were a group of girls drinking and playing games and I noticed one of them starring at me. In time I was left alone to take care of our handbags while the rest of them went out for their hour long smoking session. ‘Admirer’ eventually came over to talk to me asking me if I’m gay and when I told her I’m not, she asks if I knew this is a lesbian bar.

Her name is Suzanne and she invited me over to their table to join them in a game of dice. It was madness drinking and in a very short while I was about to puke. We exchanged numbers and she contacted me yesterday. I now have lesbian friends as well

Gay KL

Tomorrow I will head off to KL together with my housemate Karen for a short Good Friday break. We may even meet up with Uncle while in KL. I hope to be able to come back and write about some gay places other than Blue Boy. Bukit Bintang and its surrounding area is fast becoming a popular area for gays.

This reminds me of my British friend Collin (not his real name) whose first trip to KL Bukit Bintang ended up with him contracting the HIV virus. Collin was a scuba instructor working in East M’sia and decided to make a quick transit to KL on his way to Thailand. At some Bukit Bintang place, he befriended Ben (not his real name), a real pretty boy. Collin was so into Ben that he quit his job and together they went to Egypt to start a life together. I’m sorry to say but based on the photo of Ben that I’ve seen, he’s a typical butterfly.

While in Egypt, I still managed to keep in touch with Collin via msn. He later told me that he has parted ways with Ben. Ben will remain in Egypt while Collin will try to find job in Thailand. It was months later that I found out the reason Collin had to leave Egpyt. While renewing his work permit, he was diagnosed with HIV and had to leave. Collin said Ben never told him of his status.

I was shocked to the core and sad as Collin is such a dear to me and I love him. I’ve already lost a gay friend to AIDS in 2006 so it’s just sad that one more became a victim. The last I’ve heard from Collin he was struggling to make a living in Pattaya, Thailand. It’s not so easy since scuba diving is a seasonal thing. He then told me that he will be going South so some small island. That was the last I’ve heard from Collin as I know the island is so small and secluded that he may not have internet access at all times. I hope to catch him over msn one of this days so that I know all is well with him.

Gay Bar, Singapore

I also pointed out to Larry the BackStage Bar, a gay bar when we walk pass it. I explained to Larry the significant of the rainbow flag hanging outside the entrance. I told him it simply represents the gay community.

Uncle was the one who first took me to the BackStage bar (13A Trengganu St, at the corner of Temple St). It’s a nice and cosy chill-out place, and plenty of caucasian men, at least there was during those times when I was at BackStage. This is where uncle picks up most of his one-night stand partners as he loves caucasian men.

Subsequently I took Chris to the BackStage bar. Each time we would just sit there and talk to others sitting around. I got to know a few ‘sisters’, one even wanting to introduce Nepalese man to me. All I need to do is just to pay some money. I was assured that they are straight man and good looking. Maybe sister was concerned that I was lonely as I was hanging out with gays.

It’s been a while since I’ve been at BackStage, though I know Uncle still hangs out at there whenever he’s lonely. I can foresee Uncle will be at BackStage Bar in coming weeks when he’s other half goes back to the States for a break.

Gay Spa, Singapore

I was in China town and Tg Pagar today with Larry for some business. While looking for a place to lunch, I told Larry about this gay spa that Chris frequents, The Raw Gym & Spa located at nearby Ann Siang Rd. It is open 24 hours and is the biggest ”All Men Theme’s” spa in South Asia.

From what I know, you pay $18 for a full day entrance for non-members while members pays $12. The Raw is fully facilitated with sauna, streamroom, cafe, internet facilities as well as private cubicles. I used to joke with Chris that this is cheaper than a hotel. Why pay so much to a hotel when you can have everything under one roof. Their website The Raw Resort, states that check out time is 2pm. According to Chris, one of the main attraction at Raw is their open rooftop garden overseeing Singapore city view. Oh…. so romantic.

They have weekly theme parties such as Friday BBQ, Form Party…. wohoo and even custom-made theme parties. Remind me to find out from Chris what goes on during the form party…. my imagination is running wild!

Foursome gay sex

Last week BH a very gay friend of my housemate Karen had a foursome with some guys at a local Hotel 81. BH told Karen that one of the guy is married. While having their fun, they started taking photos of their tryst.

Why is it that people never learned from previous scandals never ever to take pictures or videos of their trysts? Even with the recent Edison Chen sex photo scandal still hot on everyone lips.

Well, Mr. Married Man wife found the photos in his bag. So that was the end of their foursome but I guess they can still have threesome instead.

As a woman I wonder what would be worst, finding your husband in bed with another woman or with a group of men and that your husband can go both ways.

Uncle

Last Tuesday I met up with Uncle. I first knew Uncle through my housemate Karen. In time we became great friends. Uncle just like Chris, don’t look gay. In fact, Uncle is ugly looking. So ugly that when I first introduce Chris and Uncle, Chris told me not to call him out again with Uncle as he don’t want to be seen with someone that ugly. Some one once commented that Uncle’s lower teeth and gums look like the warning picture you find on cigarette packs in S’pore.

Larry who was initially worried about my close association with Uncle was also relieved after seeing him.  I’ve learned to accept his looks. Over the years I don’t find him that ugly anymore. He’s a great guy to talk with and I especially enjoy going shopping with him. Unlike your own boyfriend or husband who will be bored, he loves to pick out clothes for you to try . I loved asking Uncle for advice too as he’s non-judgemental.

No wonder I’m a fag hag, enjoying the company of gay guys when it comes to shopping and seeking advice. And I don’t know why they are so special.
